Hi, my name is Asnath, and I am an academic researcher. I recently completed a postdoctoral researcher position on the DigiSAt project at the University of Copenhagen.
My research focuses on decolonising design and futures-making with communities at the margins. Situated at the intersection of participatory design and design anthropology, my work explores community-based participatory approaches, the co-design of technological interventions for imagining plural futures, and dialogic curation. I have collaborated with different communities in Namibia, and in South Africa, examining everyday realities, the role of technologies in daily life, and how these technologies are adopted within townships and in the informal settlements.
